Go Green with Infinity Business Systems’ Managed Services
Infinity Achieves Green IT Certification
The MSPAlliance (MSPA) the International Association of Managed Service Providers
today announced that Infinity Business Systems has passed the MSPAlliance Green IT
Certification and is now a Certified Green IT Managed Services Provider (MSP). As
the world’s largest professional association and accrediting body for the Managed
Services Industry, the MSPA has developed a set of standards for MSPs and their
clients to achieve Green IT Certification.
As part of its Managed Services Accreditation Program™, this Green IT certification
is based on quantifiable standards driven by several factors including reduction of
power consumption in data centers and offices, increased use of remote management of
IT services to reduce carbon emissions, and other recognized Green initiatives.
MSPs who achieve the Green IT certification must be able to demonstrate
proficiencies in the following areas:
- Must have a certain percentage of their clients managed remotely
- On-site remediation services not to exceed a certain percentage of total services revenue
- A percentage of trouble tickets must be performed remotely
- Provide proof of server and/or desktop virtualization implementations
- Implement data center power saving best practices
- Utilize alternative energy sources
- Adopt server virtualization
- Adoption of alternative data center cooling practices
- Demonstrate the adoption of energy saving practices at client sites
